Ghana celebrated its independance on March 6th. 1957, with State ceremonies, openings, a special song, carnival like parades, and also, with a commemorative mug, made specially for the occasion, by Copeland Spode. It has the date, and the arms of the new country of Ghana - formerly known as the Gold Coast. The mug has no chips or cracks, is in fine condition.
