Published under the copyright of the Sir Alfred Munnings Art Museum, this fine limited edition print is a masterful depiction of the start of a race at Newmarket : although the horses have not started the race, the artist has captured the bustling, melee, and movement of the start of a race - a horse and rider facing the wrong way, horses champing at the bit,and you see that fraction of a second, a moment of anticipation, just before there is an explosion of forward movement, as the Starter gives the off. This is a truly wonderful picture. NB the photo has made the print look darker than it acutally is.
