The Bear Charms are hand crafted from Fossilized Mammoth Tusk and set in Sterling Silver. Modern ivory, quite rightly, is banned, however, for some years now, mammoth tusks found in the Tundra of Alaska and Siberia, have been legally used for making fine jewelry and precious objects. Sometimes there is color variation because of differing soil types, and you can see this in the bracelet spacers : usually, the best white ivory is used to carve the Bear Charms.
