Spiney Oyster inlaid Bear with matched m.o.p. neclace and drops
£240.00 inc. VAT
Santo Domingo and Zuni South West Americans have used spiney oyster and mother of pearl shell in their jewellery since time immemorial - the shells were originally traded from the Western Pacific coast. Nowadays, the shells come from further afield, due to local stocks being exhausted and the ease at which goods can be sent long distances by air or sea. The Bear is inlaid on sterling silver,by a master craftsperson, well known for inlay work and the mother of pearl, coral and black tourmaline, necklace and drops have been matched to make the suite, but were made by a different maker.
